Dentist Bilgesu Mercan Sönmez
She completed her undergraduate education at Hacettepe University Faculty of Dentistry between 2012 and 2017. In 2017, she began her specialization training in Periodontology (Gum Diseases and Surgery) at Hacettepe University Faculty of Dentistry, following her success in the Dental Specialization Examination (DUS).
In 2022, she received the title of ‘Specialist’ with her thesis entitled ‘Investigation of Immunological and Biochemical Parameters in Gingival Crevice Fluid and General Saliva in Patients with Peri-implantitis’, which examined dental implant diseases.
Since 2018, she has worked in the fields of periodontal surgery, aesthetic gum applications, regenerative procedures, and implant surgery, and has participated in many national and international congresses and symposiums in these fields.

BT Dent Clinic was founded in 2023 by Specialist Dentist Tolga Sönmez. She is a member of the Turkish Dental Association.
Dentist Tolga SÖNMEZ
He completed his undergraduate education at Ankara University Faculty of Dentistry between 2010-2016. In 2017, after successfully passing the Dental Specialization Examination (DUS), he began his specialization training in Periodontology (Gum Diseases and Surgery) at Izmir Katip Çelebi University Faculty of Dentistry.
In 2022, he received the title of ‘Specialist’ with his thesis entitled ‘Evaluation of the Effectiveness of Injectable Platelet-Rich Fibrin Application in Addition to Root Surface Smoothing Treatment in Phase 1 Treatments of Periodontitis Patients Who Smoke’, which examined additional methods in the treatment of gum disease.
He continues to work as an instructor in the field of gum diseases and surgery in the Dental Specialization Examination (DUS).
Since 2018, he has worked in the fields of implant surgery, all-on-X implant applications, periodontal surgeries, sinus lift, PRF applications, and bone augmentation. She completed her undergraduate education with honors at Yeditepe University Faculty of Dentistry between 2012-2017. In 2017, she started her doctorate in the Department of Orthodontics at Ege University Faculty of Dentistry.
In 2023, she earned the title of ‘Doctor of Orthodontics’ with her doctoral thesis titled ‘The Effect of Lip Position on Visual Perception at Different Lower Facial Heights: An Eye Tracking Study’.
She served as the Coordinator of the Scientific Research Society of Yeditepe University Faculty of Dentistry between 2016-2017. Since 2017, she has been applying phase-1 treatments, treatments with removable and fixed appliances, maxillary expansion applications, wire treatments, and aligner (clear aligner) treatments within the scope of early orthodontic treatment. Between 2021 and 2023, he served as the President of the Youth Commission of the Turkish Orthodontic Society. He has participated in numerous national and international congresses and symposiums.
